| CLOSURE OF REGISTERED TRAINING ORGANISATION | |
As of 11 August 2008, Museums Australia Qld will cease its status as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and will no longer offer accredited training. From 2001 to 2008, Museums Australia issued 191 Statements of attainment towards a qualification and twelve full qualifications including eleven Certificates 1V in Museum Practice and one of Certificate 111 in Museum Practice. However our review of these accredited training activities and the financial and human resources required to renew registration and operate as an RTO 2008- 2012, resulted in the decision to allow the registration to lapse.
All student records held by Museums Australia Qld have been provided to the Department of Education Training and the Arts. If you need to access your records of academic achievement awarded by Museums Australia Qld towards Certificate 111 or 1V in Museum Practice, you may contact the Department’s Training Quality Customer Contact Centre on Freecall 1300 369 935 or via email registrationservices@deta.qld.gov.au
Should you wish to undertake accredited training towards a Certificate in Museum Practice, options for Registered Training Organisations are listed in M&GSQ’s 2010 Education, Training & Professional Development Opportunities publication, available on this website at the link below.
