A Museum & Gallery Services Queensland Seminar presented in partnership with The University of Queensland Art Museum and The University of Queensland’s Museum Studies program (School of English, Media Studies and Art History)

Date: Thursday 11 September 2.00 pm-4.30 pm (drinks 4.30pm- 5.30pm)
Venue: University of Queensland Art Museum, University Drive, St Lucia
Cost: $45 (inc GST) – full registration fee
$35 (inc GST) - concession registration fee for MAQ & RGAQ Institutional and Individual members, volunteers, students
$20 (inc GST) - GROUP OF 6 OR MORE full-time/part-time students and volunteers

Program & Speakers

A panel of four keynote speakers will explore creative and visionary ways galleries and museums may focus their programs on collections. Perspectives on the panel will include the use of web-based initiatives, artist interventions and stories of place to engage with a collection.

Jonathan Cooper - Manager of Information / Website, Art Gallery of New South Wales
Michael Desmond - Senior Curator, National Portrait Gallery
Michelle Desailly - Project Officer, Parramatta Stories, Parramatta City Council
Robyn Stacey - Senior Lecturer in the School of Communication Arts at the University of Western Sydney
