Did you know... Did you know that the School of Arts was built in 1887-88? The building contractors won a contract to build using architectural plans from a competition placed by Maryborough Council, which won 25 pounds.

This statue was given to an invalid AIF soldier after WWII, recovering in hospital in Celebes. This was given as a good luck charm by an Indian wardsman to assist his recovery.

Did you know... Did you know that the museum's oldest wedding dress was worn in 1879 by Mrs Frances Hayes-William?

The Museum has pictorial records and newspaper clippings of the SS Maheno, which was wrecked off the Eastern Coast of Fraser Island.

Did you know... Did you know that the large tapestry in the library was sewn by a 16-year-old girl, using gros point, petit point, candlewick and bead work.

The collection of wedding dresses ranges in age, from 1879 - 1940. Some are satin, the eldest has a marvellous bustle.
