M&GSQ acknowledges the financial support from a Community Heritage Grant, National Library of Australia for these workshops.
Trainers, Lisa Jones and Christine Ianna, will conduct a two-day workshop on Collection Management and Preventive Conservation for museum and gallery workers (paid and unpaid).

Agents of deterioration |
Spectrum of Solutions – Storage and display materials |
FAQs (including): Health and Safety; Integrated Pest Management|
Object assessment exercise|
Participants are invited to bring an object to the workshop to seek advice on its care. If the object is fragile or likely to be a risk to people or other objects, please bring a photo of it instead.|

An introduction to assessing the significance of objects|
Completing cataloguing paperwork|
Object numbering systems|
The numbering of objects|
