2012 Securing Funding Workshop

When: 7-8 March 2012

Day 1 - Atherton Council Chambers, 45 Mabel St, Atherton, Qld
Day 2 - Malanda Council Chambers, 31 James St, Malanda, Qld

This annual workshop aims to increase participants' capacity to secure funding by providing opportunities to:

Speak face-to-face with funding bodies
Learn about alternate sources of funding from a philanthropy expert
Hear local case studies of successful grant applications and fundraising
Find the right source of funds for their projects
Improve their funding application skills

Representatives from National Library of Australia (Community Heritage Grants), Arts Queensland and the Regional Arts Development Fund presented at the workshop.

Case studies were presented by Cairns Historical Society Museum and Cairns and District Chinese Association Inc.

Representatives from the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal and Queensland Arts Council (Regional Arts Fund and Quick Response Grants) 'Skyped' in.
